Company outing 2026 – traveling together in Lucerne

On Friday, August 28, 2026, the team of Schneikel AG exchanged their usual work routine for a day of varied activities in and around Lucerne.

After meeting at Zurich main station, we took the train towards Lucerne. Once there, we started the day with coffee and croissants at the LUZ Seebistro.

A data center inside a rock tunnel

The first item on the agenda took us to an extraordinary environment: During an exclusive guided tour, we gained exciting insights into a data center located inside a rock tunnel.

The unique location and the underlying technical infrastructure made the visit a truly memorable experience. For us, as a provider of solutions for 19" racks, power distribution, and technical infrastructure, it was particularly exciting to get a close-up look at a data center in such an extraordinary environment.

Boat trip on Lake Lucerne

After the guided tour, we left the rock tunnel and went out onto the water. During a boat trip on Lake Lucerne, we enjoyed our lunch and the beautiful views of Lucerne and the surrounding mountains.

The relaxed atmosphere on board offered plenty of time for personal conversations and informal exchanges away from the daily grind.

Old town and communal aperitif

In the afternoon, we explored Lucerne's old town together. Over a relaxed aperitif, we reminisced about the day's experiences before taking the train back to Zurich.

Our company outing in 2026 offered a successful mix of technology, enjoyment, and time spent together as a team. Such experiences create space for personal exchange and strengthen team cohesion even outside of the daily work routine.
