Sustainability at Schneikel AG: long-lasting solutions with real added value

Sustainability is not just a product feature for Schneikel AG, but an integral part of our daily work. From product selection and consulting to delivery and long-term use, we strive to use resources as efficiently as possible. In doing so, we combine ecological responsibility with tangible economic benefits for our customers.

Durability as a foundation

A key contribution to sustainability is the long service life of our solutions. High-quality 19" racks, power distribution systems, UPS systems and other infrastructure components are designed for long-term and reliable use.

The longer a product can be used, the less frequently it needs to be completely replaced. This reduces material consumption, avoids unnecessary disposal, and simultaneously lowers investment costs over its entire life cycle. Therefore, when selecting our product range, we consider not only the purchase price but also quality, stability, expandability, and ease of maintenance.

Replacing individual components instead of entire systems

Technical requirements are constantly changing. However, new network components, additional power connections, or changes in cooling do not automatically mean that an existing infrastructure needs to be completely replaced.

Many of our solutions are modular. Doors, side panels, shelves, cable management, fans, power distribution units, and other components can be added or replaced individually, depending on the system. This allows existing installations to be adapted to new requirements and used for a longer period.

For our customers, this means greater flexibility, lower follow-up costs, and better planning. At the same time, resources are conserved because functioning components are retained.

Energy-efficient PDUs and UPS systems

Energy consumption also plays a crucial role in data centers, server rooms, and technical facilities. Modern and intelligent PDUs (Power Distribution Units) enable transparent monitoring of power consumption and, depending on the model, tracking down to individual outlets. This information helps identify anomalies, optimize capacity utilization, and reveal opportunities for improvement.

Energy-efficient UPS systems not only ensure a reliable power supply, but also reduce unnecessary energy losses through their high efficiency. Especially in systems that operate around the clock, even small efficiency improvements can make a noticeable difference over the entire service life.

Our goal is not simply to quickly sell a single product. Based on the principle of "consultation instead of quick sales," we work together with our customers to find a technically sound solution that meets their actual needs. This needs-based design prevents unnecessary oversizing and lays the foundation for efficient operation.

Conscious handling of transport and packaging

We also prioritize responsible resource management in our logistics. Deliveries are consolidated whenever possible to avoid unnecessary individual trips and additional packaging. Therefore, in addition to delivery time, our planning considers the order quantity, delivery location, and the most efficient transport solution.

Packaging materials are reused or recycled appropriately, provided their condition and intended use allow. At the same time, we are aware that technical products must be adequately protected during transport. Our goal is therefore to strike a reasonable balance between product safety and using materials as sparingly as possible.

Responsibly selected products

Sustainability is also reflected in the product selection. Schneikel AG focuses on products that impress with their quality, reliability, and longest possible lifespan.

An important aspect is the availability of spare parts and individual components. This enables repairs, expansions, and modifications without the need to prematurely replace entire systems. Modularly designed products can grow with new requirements, thus contributing to a more conscious use of resources.

We also ensure that the solutions offered can be used in a technically sound manner and tailored to the specific needs. This prevents the creation of unnecessarily large or oversized systems that consume more material and energy than actually required.

The newest or biggest product isn't always automatically the best solution. For us, sustainable practices begin with needs assessment. We examine the actual requirements, identify existing components that can be reused, and determine how a solution can be expanded later.

This results in technical infrastructures that are reliable, economical, and usable in the long term. For our customers, this means fewer replacements, more predictable investments, and systems that can be flexibly adapted to future requirements.
